Elon welcomes a new cohort of 12 to the M.A. in Higher Education program. Orientation for the 12 graduate apprentices will be held on campus from Aug. 7-9. 

​The deadline to apply for spring 2020 admission to Teacher Education is Nov. 15, 2019.

The School of Education will welcome new students into the Teacher Education Program during an induction ceremony on Sept. 19, 2019.

This orientation session is for clinical teachers who will work with our student teacher candidates during the 2019-20 school year. Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, October 10th in Oaks 212 and will begin at 4 p.m.

Bullock, dean of the School of Education, was reappointed to serve on the state commission to establish high standards for state educators and to make rule recommendations regarding all aspects of preparation, licensure, continuing education and standards of conduct for public school educators.

Summer in the Village, a summer enrichment program stemming from Elon’s “It Takes A Village” Project, concluded with an awards banquet for hundreds of students and their families Friday night at Alumni Gym.

Rising fifth-grade students in Elon's Summer in the Village program raised more than $1,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Alamance County, with the help of an anonymous donor. 

Elon hosted middle school students from the Alamance-Burlington School System for a five-day science camp focused on citizen science projects and summer enrichment. 

Eighteen teachers from Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools received AIG licensure through a program offered by the Elon School of Education.
