Students from Mark Enfield’s COR110 class hosted fifth-grade students from a local elementary school for a day at Elon.  

An information session for the new M.A. in Higher Education program will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10:30 a.m. in the Inman Admissions Welcome Center. 

Elon's new Master of Arts in Higher Education program will host an on-campus information session on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10:30 a.m., and a virtual information session on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m.

The acknowledgment for the school’s teacher preparation program follows an extensive review process and site visit earlier this year. The program was first accredited in 1991.

Fifty-five educators participated in a two-day Inclusive Schools Network Institute run by the organization Gender Spectrum and hosted by the Elon University School of Education

The new program to launch in Fall 2018 is a reincarnation of the highly effective program that prepared future teachers to work in North Carolina schools.

Terry Tomasek, associate professor of education and director of the Elon Academy, was presented with the Academic Collaboration Award at the NCCPA conference in Asheville, N.C. on Nov. 8.

The School of Education and the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center hosted 14 international visitors from Saudi Arabia on Nov. 2 to engage in a cultural exchange on the topic of education.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, faculty members Erin Hone and Marna Winter along with students Molly Kearns and Kristen O’Neill, both junior special and elementary majors, presented twice at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics state conference in Greensboro, N.C.
