Terry Tomasek, associate professor of education and director of Elon Academy, has published a chapter as lead author on connections and contributions through research service learning in Science and Service Learning.

Elizabeth Meynardie '17, Kelly Richard ’17 and Jacqueline Spencer '17 will teach English abroad as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations.

Jean Rattigan-Rohr, Elon's executive director of community partnerships and director of the Center for Access and Success, delivered the Commencement address. 

The FLEX Program is offered by Elon’s Master’s of Education program, with M.Ed. and special licensure candidates creating the curriculum and working with academically gifted students. 

Stephen Byrd, associate professor of education, writes about strategies for success for college students with disabilities. 

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in education. 

Assistant Professor of Education Julie Ellison Justice worked with F. Blake Tenore, teaching faculty and coordinator of English education at Florida State University on “Becoming Critical Teacher Educators: Narratives of Disruption, Possibility, and Praxis.” 

The program will graduate 10 students 

Lecturer in Education Erin Hone '04 and Elizabeth McFarland '19 traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, from June 23 through 26 to promote the School of Education at the National Educators Rising conference. 

Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor and director of Teaching Fellows, gave four presentations and received a research paper award at the Annual Conference of the International Society of Technology in Education.
