Jacqueline Spencer '17, a special education and elementary education major, will be teaching English in Spain as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations.

Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, co-authored the article in the peer-reviewed bilingual journal Comunicar.

The School of Education appreciates the support from strong leaders in the Alamance-Burlington School System who are willing to work with Elon's (soon-to-be) newest teachers.

Mark Enfield, associate professor of education, is currently working with Jayne Woodruff, third-grade teacher at Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary School, to teach a problem-based learning science unit on the human body systems. 

AAASE advisory members facilitated two highly attended panel discussions at the Annual American Association for Blacks in Higher Education conference held March 23-25 in Raleigh, N.C. 

Joel Baum, senior director of professional development for the organization Gender Spectrum, spent two days on campus as the Teaching Fellows spring speaker.

K-12 school representatives gathered in Moseley Center on March 16 to meet and interview prospective teachers for professional positions at the Elon University Teacher Fair.
