On May 1 the School of Education honored the academic excellence of 39 undergraduate and graduate students as they were inducted into the Sigma Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

“Time Un-plugged: An Elon Arts & Science Celebration” will feature outdoor music & dance performances, natural science educational exhibits, interactive art displays, arts & crafts, poetry readings, photography exhibits and more.

Cummings High School senior Jessica Canar-Quito will attend Guilford College in North Carolina with assistance from a program initially funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The School of Education hosted Edcamp Elon, a participant-driven professional development event, on April 19.

The associate professor of education and longtime Elon Academy instructor formally takes over this summer for founding director Deborah Long, who is now serving as interim dean of Elon University’s School of Education.
