Study Abroad

Elon University has adjusted some study abroad programs and offers advice to students who have questions or may be considering travel to areas of Africa affected by the Ebola virus. Please read this note for details.

Studying exercise science or psychology? Want to learn more about life in Australia? The University of the Sunshine Coast is holding an information session at 3PM in the Global Education Center on Friday, Sept 26. 

A session will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, announcing information about a unique opportunity for students to study abroad for a semester while completing an internship in Shanghai.

Two sessions will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, announcing information about new Prague semester programs in Central European Studies, Film Production, Jewish Studies and New Media Studies.

The deadline for all Winter Term applications is quickly approaching. To be considered for open programs, students must have application submitted by Monday, Sept. 8.

The associate director of Study Abroad at Elon University traveled to Indiana in July 2014 for the highly competitive program.

Winter Term 2015 classes in Israel and Ghana have been canceled or postponed due to regional security and health concerns in Africa and the Middle East.

The assistant professor of French presented research on short-term study abroad programs and intercultural competence at the annual convention in May. Her article, "Preparing Undergraduates for Research Projects in Faculty-led Short-term Study Abroad Courses," appears in the Winter 2014 issue of CUR Quarterly.
