Elon students can develop a deeper understanding of sustainability through global experiences abroad, including the ways they travel, interact with communities and engage with different cultural practices. Learning from different cultures helps shape how the Elon community understands and engages with sustainability beyond the borders of campus.

Elon’s civic engagement efforts during the 2026 midterm election season include voter registration, educational programs, Election Day resources and opportunities for dialogue before and after the election.

Campus serves as a sustainable living lab, integrating sustainability into everyday campus operations, learning, and community life. Through ongoing initiatives and practices, Elon provides opportunities to explore, implement and advance sustainability in a community-based setting.

Daily sustainable actions that promote a culture of environmental stewardship are evident across campus as Elon makes conscious choices to foster a community committed to creating a more sustainable future.

Earth Day Every Day is a series of events that occur during the first six weeks of classes, meant to inspire the Elon community to celebrate our planet and live more sustainably every day.

Elon University brings a new program to campus to help the university community connect with carpool partners.

The 2027 edition of "The Best 392 Colleges" ranks Elon University among the nation’s best in multiple categories, including #1 Best College Theater and #4 Best Classroom Experience.

Link Transit, Alamance County's bus service, runs from the Town of Elon to Gibsonville and Burlington.
