Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley offers this weekly message to help students stay informed and prepare for the week ahead.

The Office of Sustainability will host numerous events Oct. 14-18 to bring awareness to and inspire sustainable behavior change throughout campus.

Attorney and author Corban Addison will shine a light on the intersection of food, race and money as he takes his audience behind the scenes of a landmark war in the courtroom that brought the once invincible pork industry to its knees. 

RSVP for a lunch program co-hosted by Elon Law and Scuppernong Books with Corban Addison, who travels to Greensboro on October 16 for a book signing and panel conversation, alongside Associate Professor Sara Ochs, on attorneys who write books for popular audiences.

Kelly Harer, associate director of sustainability for education and outreach, completed a facilitator training to bring the program to Elon.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with Elon alumni.

The eight annual International Tree Planting took place on South Campus on Thursday, May 23, and allowed international students to plant their oak saplings.

Students, faculty, and members of the Elon community gathered for the event on Fri. May 3.

A collaborative stargazing night as part of Earth Week at Elon drew more than 80 attendees.

Wray presented “How to Cope with Climate Anxiety: Saving the Earth and Saving Ourselves,” to students, faculty, staff, and community members in McKinnon Hall on April 24.
