Teaching and Learning Technologies

All undergraduate courses will move from classroom instruction to online learning mode for the two weeks following Spring Break in response to the coronavirus. The university is offering a host of resources to help with the transition.

The 16th annual Teaching & Learning Conference, sponsored by Elon's Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) and Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT), hosted hundreds of area educators Thursday.

Carmen Monico, assistant professor of human service studies, and Michael Vaughn, instructional technologist, partnered to engage students in virtual-reality experiences, conduct research and develop a training workshop.

Bleakney, Olive-Taylor, Reimer, and Ruelle shared advice about bringing partners into the library space on a panel titled “We’re in This Together: Deep Collaboration with Library Building Partners” at the Librarians’ Association at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 2019 Conference.

The report, which highlights trends, challenges and developments in educational technology, lauded Elon Kickbox as an exemplar project.

In collaboration with Elon faculty and staff members, 10 students began working on the project in March. The final product was recorded live at the Paramount Theater in Burlington.
