Elon Teaching and Learning Conference to explore future technologies and building teaching communities

The Elon 2010 Teaching and Learning Conference August 19th will tackle complex future-oriented and now-oriented topics that apply directly to college teaching. Janna Anderson from Elon will explore the Future of the Internet and implications for teaching. Joan Middendorf and David Pace from Indiana University will discuss how faculty teaching communities can help build a common language of teaching. See the conference program.

Janna Anderson, associate professor in the School of Communications, led a special event on issues tied to hyperconnectivity, Web 3.0, cloud computing, user-generated content, social networks, ubiquitous computing and ambient intimacy, and augmented and virtual realities at the WorldFuture 2010 conference hosted by the World Future Society in Boston July 9.
