Elon hosts the event that celebrates Sephardic heritage for the second year in a row

Language assessments in French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian and Spanish will be offered for the last time during the spring semester on Sunday, April 7 from 3-6 p.m. in Carlton 221.  Click here to sign up for an appointment.

Faculty and staff members from the Department of World Languages & Cultures are eager to welcome back our alumni

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Elon hosted students and faculty from Elon and regional universities at its second annual Undergraduate Conference on Languages and Cultures.

A member of the Class of 2016, Alyssa Romano started medical school this summer in Tübingen, Germany. 

Historian Philipp Lenhard from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich will visit Elon and share his research about the German-born American philosopher's life and friendships in the twentieth century. 

A panel discussion on Labor Day in Whitley Auditorium offered insights from those across the university who work to support students, faculty and staff. The discussion was moderated by Sherry Lee Linkon of Georgetown University.

Quiqui Lang Hilgartner, adjunct instructor in world languages and cultures, discusses how her summer translation project with a Sephardic Holocaust suvivor has changed her perspective as she begins this new school year.
