Donors and members of the Elon community came together Friday, Oct. 6, to dedicate the site for Sankey Hall and sign a steel plate to be put into place and remain visible once the building is complete. 

The Elon community is invited to attend the site dedication of Richard W. Sankey Hall at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6. Sankey Hall will be part of an expanded business school. The event will be held in front of the Inman Admissions Welcome Center.

Praised for its Residency-in-Practice Program, Elon Law was featured in a back-to-school issue cover story about law schools "on the cutting edge when it comes to preparing students for the future."

The most recent statewide survey also asked about NFL player protests, Congressional action on Obamacare and DACA, and whether Confederate monuments should be removed.

The home contest comes as Elon looks to extend a three-game winning streak that has landed the Phoenix at No. 23 in national rankings. 

This survey of Mecklenburg County voters by the Elon University Poll was conducted in partnership with the Charlotte Observer and WBTV Television and covered a broad range of topics relating to North Carolina’s largest city.

John Della Volpe is the director of polling at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics and is founder and CEO of SocialSphere, a big data and social media analytics company.

The agreement in principle, approved on Sept. 25, is for the university and the school system to exchange properties and build a new elementary school.
