Tompkins, founder and CEO of a global supply chain consulting firm that has worked with hundreds of companies worldwide, will share facts about globalization and advice for students gleaned over three decades at the helm of his company during a Feb. 24 talk in the LaRose Digital Theatre.

Elon senior to present research in national program

Larissa Ferretti, a senior Honors Fellow and psychology major, will share her research this spring with lawmakers in Washington about the effects of parental involvement in teaching math and number skills to young children. The May presentation is part of a highly selective program that features leading undergraduate research from around the nation.

Frontani book adds to Elon’s Choice Awards

Faculty books win national award

The American Library Association has named two books by Elon faculty - a textbook on the Holocaust by professor David M. Crowe, and "Southern Culture: An Introduction" co-authored by assistant professor John Beck - as CHOICE Outstanding Academic Titles for 2008. The annual list reflects the best titles reviewed by the organization's CHOICE magazine and is the top recognition of the academic library community.

David H. Cooper named dean of School of Education

Faculty book explores terrorism and the press

Those effects and more are examined in “Terrorism and the Press: An Uneasy Relationship,” a new book co-authored by associate professor Brooke Barnett.
