International studies majors are required to include a study abroad experience in their programs and should choose an area relevant to their regional concentrations. International students satisfy this requirement due to the inherent cross-cultural character of their educational experiences. Elon offers a wide variety of study abroad programs through the Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies. In fact, Elon is ranked first in the nation among comprehensive institutions for the percentage of students who study abroad. Sixty-three percent of Elon's seniors have had at least one study abroad experience.
