Study Abroad for International Students

International students are eligible to study abroad just like any other Elon student!  International students should consider the following things before going abroad:

• In addition to their U.S. visa, students will most likely be required to get a second visa from the host country.
• Check the host government's requirements for more information about visas.
• International students will be enrolled at Elon as full-time students and will maintain their visa student status while in the program.
• If your U.S. visa is set to expire while you are abroad, you will have to renew it before you can re-enter the U.S.
• Check guidelines for citizens of your home country to determine whether your visa can be renewed in the host country or if you must return to your home country.
• Ensure that your I-20 is valid and the signatures are up to date.
