Tuition & Fees

The U.S. Government requires that all international students applying for application to a U.S. college or university provide proof of funding for one year of study.  Costs for the 2012-2013 academic year are as follows:

• Tuition: $28,980
• Room & board: $9,480
• Insurance, books, & personal expenses: $2,500 (estimated)
• Total: $40,960

Payment

Elon offers the option to pay tuition and fees online by check or credit card.  Making payments online is as safe and dependable as paying by mail or relaying your credit card information by phone.  Elon has implemented a state-of-the-art, secure network for processing payments.

Credit and Debit Cards

Payments can be made with Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.  A 2.75% convenience fee will be assessed.

Other Payment Options

Other options that do not accumulate fees include online checks/ACH or personal checks from a U.S. bank, wire transfers, and Elon transactions such as online tickets or Phoenix Cash deposits.  Payments can be made online or mailed to the university lockbox:

Making Payments Online

To manage your Elon financial account, log into the Student Account Suite using your 7-digit university ID number (Datatel number) and your password.  If you have trouble logging in, there is a link at the bottom of the page to have your ID and password emailed to you.

“Authorized Users”- If you wish for parents or other relatives to make payments on your behalf without needing your ID and password, you can create a unique login and password for them in the “authorized users” section.

E-bill Homepage

• “Current account status” shows the total current balance.
  This balance may reflect monies paid towards a future term, which cannot be applied toward the current upcoming semester.  Additionally, if there is financial aid that has not yet been funded, or if you are on the tuition payment plan and not all of the payments have been received, those monies will not be reflected in this section.  This is not necessarily the amount that you owe to the university.
   
• “E-bill” contains your latest printable tuition statement. 
  This section will calculate anticipated monies that have not yet arrived to provide an adjusted balance.  Any statement that is loaded will remain in this section for historical reference until the next date the bill is updated.  This section indicates how much you owe to the university.
   
• “PAY” links you to the screen to enter your payment information.

Scholarships

International Students are eligible for Merit-Based Scholarships including Fellows Programs and Presidential Scholarships.
