Counseling Services

Counseling Services provides services on an appointment-only basis, except in the event of an emergency. To schedule an appointment with Counseling Services please call (336) 278-7280. If students have a counseling crisis or emergency, they should contact Counseling Services during normal business hours (Monday-Friday- 8:00 am until 5:00 pm) or Campus Safety and Security at (336) 278-5555 in the evenings and on weekends. There is always a counselor on call (while residence halls are open) for students in crisis.

Students who must miss a scheduled appointment should call ahead to time to cancel or reschedule the appointment. There will be a $25.00 charge for “no shows” for appointments which have not been cancelled or rescheduled prior to the appointment; this includes allergy shot appointments.

The Health & Counseling Center staff welcomes phone calls from parents. Please note that student health and counseling records are confidential and can only be released with the signed permission of the student.
