Jalonda Thompson: Photo

Jalonda Thompson, B.A.

Jalonda Thompson is the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs and Leadership and came to Elon University in August 2008. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After completing her undergraduate degree, Jalonda completed the two year Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program at Wake Forest University, where she co-authored several publications and presented at a national conference.  She also worked as a Residence Hall Director at Salem College.  Currently, Jalonda is pursuing her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Jalonda’s professional interests include access and retention for first generation college students and low-socioeconomic students. She is also interested in the leadership development of individual students and groups of students.
