Black Cultural Society (BCS)

Established in 1974, the Black Cultural Society works to highlight the essence of the "black experience."  BCS is open to all students interested in being an effective support system by providing events that foster African American cultural.  For more information contact Jackie McKinney at jmckinney@elon.edu.

Diversity Emerging Education Program (D.E.E.P.)

The mission of the Diversity Emerging Education Program is to engage students, faculty, and staff in promoting the diversity of the Elon University community.  D.E.E.P. peer educators hold training sessions to continually develop their ability to educate fellow Elon students on issues surrounding diversity.  For more information contact Joy Baxter at jbaxter@elon.edu or 278-7243.

Elon's Finest

Elon's Finest, established in 1991 by students to promote a higher sense of school spirit through dance, is a dance organization fostering African American dance and musical influences.  For more information contact Jennifer Vanyur at jvanyur@elon.edu.

Elon University Gospel Choir

Elon Gospel Choir, established in 1977 to bring students together to sing Gospel music, is the largest minority organization on campus.  The Gospel Choir provides students with a home away from home and an opportunity to get involved in the community, in addition to fostering spiritual growth.  For more information contact Sherri McLean at mclean2@elon.edu.

Intercultural Relations Club

The Intercultural Relations Club was established as a support organization for International students.  All students interested in International issues are encouraged to join the Intercultural Relations Club.  The goal for the organization is to allow International students from different cultures to interact with each other as well as Americans in order to achieve a higher level of cultural awareness.  For more information contact Francois Masuka at fmasuka@elon.edu or 278-6700.

Multicultural Leadership Roundtable

Created in 2006, the Multicultural Leadership Roundtable is a support network among multicultural student organizations.  Student organizations collaborate on programs and resources, receive leadership development and support from the Multicultural Center, and obtain additional funding and guidance to be used for the purpose of diversity education.  For more information contact Jessica Tiller at jtiller3@elon.edu or 278-7243.

Multicultural Student Council (M.S.C.)

The Multicultural Student Council, established in 2002 is an organization devoted to planning, promoting, implementing and evaluating cultural events with the goal of increasing awareness and celebrating cultural similarities and differences on Elon's campus.  For more information contact Carroll Martin during the fall semester at cmartin9@elon.edu or 278-7243.

S.M.A.R.T. (Student Mentors Advising Rising Talent)

Established in 1994, the S.M.A.R.T. Mentoring Program offers mentorship opportunities to first-year multicultural students.  Upper class peer mentors assist students in making a smooth transition from high school to Elon University.  For more information contact Aliana Harrison at aharrison3@elon.edu or 278-7243.

Spectrum

Spectrum is a support group committed to increasing visibility and bettering the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people at Elon and beyond.  For more information contact Dr. Laurin Kier at lkier@elon.edu or 278-6515. Student Ambassadors Committee

Established in 1990, the Student Ambassadors Committee is dedicated and committed to serving the university by working collectively as a group to bring about a more diverse student body.  Within this context, members of the Student Ambassadors Committee organize and participate in multicultural student recruitment events.  For more information contact Kim Johnson at kjohnson33@elon.edu or 278-3566.
