2009-2010 Mazel Tov to Michelle Wrightman '12, who was selected to be a Truitt Center Intern Elon Hillel selected as one of 35 campuses nationwide to receive funding for a Grinspoon Israel Advocacy Fellow. Mazel Tov to Eden Avraham-Katz '12, who will be Elon's first Grinspoon Intern.
2008-2009 Nancy Luberoff hired as Hillel Campus Director Over 100 students and parents and administrators attended the Incoming Jewish Students and Families Reception Over 100 students, family members, and faculty, participating in Family Weekend Shabbat services and Bagel Brunch Over 175 people attended the Hillel Passover Seder. Elon Hillel sponsored its first Alternative Spring Break. Nancy Luberoff traveled with 8 students to Montevideo, Uruguay, as the guests of Hillel Uruguay. Starting in the fall, Amanda will volunteer for one year in New Orleans as part of Avodah, the Jewish Service Corps. § The family of Sydnie Krause donated hundreds of books to establish the Karen J. Switt Memorial Library, a new Jewish library at Elon University. The library is presently housed in the Hillel office at the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life. M 2007-2008 § 95 students, faculty and staff attended the Hillel Passover Seder!! Great job to Amanda Gross, Jaime Speiser and the Passover Planning Committee! § Yasher Koach to Jaime Speiser, junior, who won all her matches at Nationals for Club Sports Tennis! § Mazel Tov to Kendra Nickel, senior, who was accepted into AmeriCorps! § Mazel Tov to Allie Lichtenstein, senior, who was accepted into Teach for America! § Mazel Tov to Kim Glazer, senior, who was accepted into graduate school at U-Penn! AND she was Elon's first Jewish Homecoming Queen this fall! § Mazel Tov to Joel Brody, senior, who was accepted into Medical School in ISRAEL! § Jewish Life Committee (students, parents, Hillel professionals and administrators) met on January 25, 2008 for the "Envisioning the Future of Jewish Life at Elon" summit!
