Welcome to Elon University and to Elon Hillel!

Making the transition from high school to college for Jewish students has never been easier. Our Hillel is a welcoming home where you can find your tribe.

Before new students arrive on campus, one of our Engagement interns reach out, welcoming incoming Jewish students to the campus community, and to Elon Hillel. Interns create strong relationships with the incoming students, invite them to coffee, introduce them to other first year students, and answer any and all of questions about life at Elon.

Elon Hillel offers a variety of events specifically aimed at First Year students to help ease the transition to college life and to meet other students, from a Welcome Dinner to an Ice Cream Social.

Hillel is at the center of Jewish life on campus – a place to make new friends, learn more about spirituality, or grab a bite to eat!

Our community is vibrant and diverse. Our Jewish students come from various backgrounds, religiously and culturally, and we come together on Elon’s campus to share meaningful experiences and have tons of fun.

For questions about Hillel or Jewish life on Elon’s campus, please contact Director Betsy Polk or Jewish Educator Boaz Avraham Katz.

Elon Hillel is happy to offer tours of the Sklut Hillel Center for Jewish Life, our welcoming on-campus house. Our cozy home offers a comfortable space to study, hang out, and meet new friends, and our students participate in weekly Shabbats, holiday observances, and other fun and engaging programs. Tours typically take 20-30 minutes and are scheduled individually. We ask that you make your tour request at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate you. We look forward to meeting you! Request a tour.

INCOMING STUDENTS: you can go to this website, fill out the form, and Elon Hillel will reach out to help make the transition to college easier!
