Chris Fulkerson is the Assistant Vice President for Technology and the Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for the leadership and management of all technology at Elon University.
Mr. Fulkerson has held various positions since joining the staff in 1982 including Assistant Professor of Communications, Director of the Library, Director of LaRose Resources Center, Director of the Teagle Professional Development Program, and Coordinator of Cable/Satellite Television. In May of 2007, he was selected as administrative staff member of the year.
Mr. Fulkerson has an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, New York and an MFA in Film and Video Production from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has completed the course work towards a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Chris Fulkerson speaks nationally on such topics as classroom technology, teaching with technology, technology planning and forming a partnership between the library and technology. Additionally, he is active in EDUCAUSE and the Datatel Users’ Group on the national level. Mr. Fulkerson has also served on the advisory board for higher education at Gateway Computers.
