Comedian Dave Coulier to perform to a 'Full House' at Elon

The comedian will headline the Student Union Board's spring comedy event on Wednesday, April 11.

Comedian Dave Coulier, perhaps best known as "Joey" from the hit ABC television series "Full House," will headline the Student Union Board's annual spring comedy event on Wednesday, April 11, in Alumni Gym.

Coulier starred in "Full House" for its eight-season run from 1987 through 1995. The show is currently in worldwide syndication in more than 100 countries, and can be seen on the Nickelodeon and ABC Family network lineups. Coulier also hosted "America's Funniest People," which aired on ABC for four seasons, as well as ABC's "World's Funniest Videos" and his own series, Out of Control for Nickelodeon.

“When we first started brainstorming options for comedians, Dave was at the top of the list,” said Colton Cadarette, concert director for the Student Union Board. "I am so excited we are welcoming an artist that resonates with students, faculty, and staff in a way I’d argue we haven’t done before."

Coulier is highly regarded for his voice-over talent, with his additional credits include many Saturday morning cartoon favorites. He provided voices for Hanna-Barbera's Scooby Doo and the re-syndicated version of The Jetsons. Coulier lent his versatile voice to Jim Henson's Emmy Award-winning animated series, "The Muppet Babies," portraying Animal and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew for the run of the series.

For a second consecutive year, the show will take place in Alumni Gym, allowing for a larger number of students, faculty and staff to attend. Free tickets for students will be available beginning at 9 a.m. on Feb. 12 in Moseley 207. In addition, faculty and staff members are eligible for up to four free tickets each beginning Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. Those tickets can be requested via PhoenixConnect and will be delivered to individual campus boxes on a rolling basis.

For the first time, tickets to the comedian will be available to the public, while supplies last beginning Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased through the Student Union Board website at www.elonsub.org/davecoulier. Tickets will be $15 and can be picked up at will call on the day of the show.
