Drew Yee ’09, who majored in elementary education, and her fifth-grade class at Newlin Elementary School were recently the subject of a Times-News (Burlington, N.C.) article about how she used various role-playing scenarios to teach her students about events leading up to the Revolutionary War.
Yee, with the help of Principal Larry Conte and other school personnel, wanted to give students a sense of what led colonists to rebel against the British crown.
