The Mu Class

Twenty Mu Scholars graduated from high school in June 2020. Together they were offered a total of $2,264,244 in merit-based scholarships. They accepted $518,448. Acceptance highlights include:

  • 1 Elon Academy scholar received the Cheatham-White Scholars Award at North Carolina A&T State University (full tuition, room and board, fees, supplies, travel and personal expenses)
  • 1 Elon Academy scholar received the Golden Door Scholarship (full tuition, room and board, internship and job search support)
  • 1 Elon Academy scholar received the UNC-Chapel Hill Carolina Covenant (full financial need through grants, scholarships and work-study — no loans)
  • 4 Elon Academy scholars will attend Elon University with Odyssey Program scholarships
  • Mebane SECU People Helping People Scholarship
  • Kiwanis Club Scholarship

  • French Award
  • The Citizenship Award

I will say this now and probably for the rest of my life: Elon Academy has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. As the first phase is coming to an end, I am proud of what I have accomplished and proud of what I have become. But for me, growth does not stop here. I want to be the best person that I can be and achieve my full potential, because I know there’s still so much in me that I can do to become who I really want to be. I really want that from Elon Academy, a push in the right direction, telling me that I am capable of doing more. I want to prove to myself and to the people that love and care for me that I can achieve and become greater.
