COR 3740 (Spring 2026 Taught by Dr. Jill McSweeney ONLY)
In this course, students will be thinking critically to design and conduct research through a variety of methodological approaches (i.e., artifacts, stories, field observation) which will integrate both quantitative and qualitative data. Through this work, they will seek to explain how that data provides insights and perspectives into their capstone project, while also intregating their own assumptions around what data they choose to use to explain the unknown, how this asserts an assumption of their own beliefs, and will reflect on what happens when data conflicts or tells an alternative explanation to their own experiences. Students will then communicate this work through mixed modalities (written, visual, verbal).
Approved for Data Intensive Course Designation starting Spring 2026 (Taught by Dr. Jill McSweeney) ONLY.
