Winter Term Engagement Grants

Faculty teaching undergraduate courses during Winter Term are invited to apply for grants of up to $400 each to provide evening or weekend activities that enhance the winter term academic experience. Each year, approximately 20 mini-grants are awarded to faculty and staff.

If you are interested in applying for a grant, please complete and submit the brief form (below) by 5:00 pm on Monday, November 18th. No late applications will be accepted. You will be notified the week of November 25th via email whether your grant application is approved.

This initiative has been successful in providing evening and weekend opportunities for faculty to academically engage with students beyond the classroom. Past mini-grant recipients have reported the out-of-classroom interaction has significantly deepened the winter term academic experience for students. Students consistently report they appreciate the chance to interact with their faculty in new and unique learning environments.

If you have questions, please contact  Julie Lellis, Faculty Fellow for Substance Education, or Whitney Gregory, Assistant Dean of Students.

Additionally, Elon provides other ways for faculty to be involved in campus prevention efforts. For more information on faculty partnerships, contact Dr. Julie Lellis.
