Program Timeline

  • Fall 2018

    New four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering is introduced

  • October 2019

    Readiness review submitted for ABET accreditation

    Elon Engineering submitted the Request for Evaluation (RFE) by ABET in January 2020. The RFE was accepted by ABET in February 2020.

  • May 2020

    First cohort of four-year degree students graduates

  • Fall 2020

    Onsite visit by accreditation team

    Due to the pandemic, the date for the onsite visit has been postponed, but the accreditation process continues during the 2021-22 academic year.

  • December 2020

    Construction begins on replacement parking lot

  • April 2021

    Groundbreaking of Founders Hall construction

  • July 2022

    Construction of Founders Hall and IQ2 is expected to conclude
