Stephen Byrd, assistant professor of special education, is presenting a series of lectures on special education issues to teachers and leaders from the Bethshan Special School in Madurai, India.
Byrd hopes to learn more about special education in other cultures during his visit to India, bringing that knowledge back to students and colleagues at Elon. He will also assist Indian teachers with issues associated with teaching and behavior in special education classrooms.
Byrd will speak to a group of pastors at a trainings conference and make a presentation to the Evangelical Churck in Madurai on Sunday, July 2.
