Students in freshman English class raise money for Partners in Health

Freshmen in a section of English 110 taught by Andy Angyal, professor of English, recently raised $1,015 for the Partners in Health organization, founded by Paul Farmer. The class set up tables at a recent College Coffee and in Moseley Center, as well as during a Sept. 26 lecture by Tracy Kidder, author of Elon’s common reading this year, “Mountains Beyond Mountains.” The book chronicles Farmer’s work to provide health care to people in poor countries.
