Darfur Fast
Begins: 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 (Vigil by: Belk Library Clock)
Ends: 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 (Breaking the fast by: West Area)
The Darfur Fast’s objective is to raise awareness for the genocide that is occurring in Darfur as well as having the money you don’t spend donated to Genocide Intervention. Genocide Intervention is an organization that directly gives aid to the Darfurian civilians.
Come to Moseley on Oct. 23 and the 24th to learn more about what you can do.
And remember fasting doesn’t mean just food. One could give up a luxury item. In the past, people have given up shoes, facebook, the internet, their cell phone, coffee, etc.
So please come and join in the effort to help the Darfurian people!
