The Pendulum will be releasing its second summer edition Wednesday, July 23.
A small group of editors and contributors put together the 24-page paper that features stories about the Elon in Los Angeles program, the Lighthouse renovations, campus technology, Emmy predictions, an Olympic chef, the new Brown and Co. and so much more.
Working for The Pendulum provides practical experience for students. Student editors from the newspaper are interning this summer at locations such as:

* Scripps Howard Foundation Wire (based out of Scripps Howard News Service, Washington, D.C.)
* CNN.com (digital content group), Atlanta
* Corcoran Gallery of Art (communications department), Washington, D.C.
* Durham Herald-Sun, Durham, N.C.
* NBC17 WNCN, Raleigh, N.C.
* XM Radio headquarters, Washington, D.C.
* The Pocono Record (prestigious Dow Jones editing internship), Stroudsburg, Pa.
* Cookie Magazine (photo department, Conde Nast publications), New York
* City AM (financial newspaper), London
* Houston Astros (graphics intern), Houston
The Pendulum will next release an issue Aug. 29, which is move-in day on campus. You can get involved with the student newspaper this summer by writing, designing pages, photographing or designing Web pages for the move-in edition. Just e-mail editor in chief Olivia Hubert-Allen at oallen@elon.edu.
