WSOE is now hiring a new executive staff member to join our team for the fall of ’08!
Radio stations across the country have embraced convergence – where Web sites, video content and podcasts are needed to remain competitive in today’s media climate. WSOE-FM, Elon’s student-run radio station is no different. We are searching for a creative, energetic and independent worker to fill our New Media Director position. Job duties include:
– Filming and editing short videos for the stations website (ex: in-studio performances, profiles on different DJ’s, or anything that you brainstorm on your own!)
– Photographing station-hosted events (ex: concerts on Wednesday nights at Lighthouse)
– Regularly updating the content on our radio stations website, wsoe893.com
– Attending our weekly executive staff meetings and monthly general staff meetings
– Helping with simple design work for promotion of events (flyers, table tents, web graphics)
Must be proficient in dreamweaver, final cut pro, and photoshop.
