Cinelon, Elon’s student film production organization, will speak via Webcam with cinematographer Antonio Calvache as part of its first meeting at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 in McEwen 002.
Calvache has been the director of photography on several films, including “Little Children” and “In the Bedroom.” Cinelon adviser and assistant professor Peter Kiwitt used his contacts from a 20-year professional career in Los Angeles to arrange with the American Society of Cinematographers for Calvache to speak to Cinelon.
A day before the discussion with Calvache, Cinelon will screen his feature “Little Children” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 in McEwen 011.
