Three Communications Professors Featured at AJHA Conference

Three School of Communications professors were featured at the American Journalism Historians Association conference Oct. 2-4 in Seattle.

David Copeland, A.J. Fletcher Professor, was featured on the panel “Working With Edited History Books: Opportunities and Issues for Editors and Authors.”

Associate Professor Anthony Hatcher was a panelist for a session on oral history, where he discussed his work with Elon students in the Society of Professional Journalists on the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.

Associate Professor Harlen Makemson gave a research-in-progress presentation on his forthcoming book “How NASA and the Media Shaped America’s Trip to the Moon,” due to be released in 2009 by Peter Lang Publishers.
