The School of Communications will show 2005 alumnus Laith Majali’s film, “Captain Abu Raed,” at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 in McEwen 011.
“Abu Raed,” which Majali edited and produced, was the winner of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival’s World Cinema Audience Award. It was also the first film to emerge from Majali’s native Jordan in 50 years.
Majali will be named the Elon University Young Alumnus of the Year Saturday morning.
