Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va., is coming to ELON to Audition for its 2009 Season!
When: Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008
Where: Center for Performing Arts, Dance Studios A and C
Who: ANYONE AND EVERYONE! They are hiring Dancers, Singers, Actors, Insturmentalists, Stage Managers, Jugglers, Stage Technicians, Mimes, or any other unique talents.
**Singers: prepare two songs (a ballad and up-tempo) with accompaniment. Bring sheet music prepared in the correct key. A cassette tape or CD may also be used as accompaniment. We are looking for singers that are proficient in more than one performance style including: rock, pop, musical theatre, swing, and classical. Bring dance clothes and appropriate shoes in case you recieve a call back.
**Dancers: you will be taught a brief dance combination at the audition. If you wish to sing come prepared (see Singers).Dancers who also sing should plan to stay for the vocal audition following the dance call.
**Specialty Talent: stilt walkers, comedy actors, mimes, magicians, or any other family-oriented special talents are welcome. Prepare a brief example and bring necessary equiptment.
** Insturmentalists: prepare 2 short selections showing your best technique. You will be asked to sight read. Positions available include: Percussion (snare, bass, and set only), Woodwinds (including reed doublers: sax, clarinet, and flute) Keyboard, Violin, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Acoustic and Electric Bass, Accordion, and any tradtional Irish insturment. Please bring your insturment to the audition.
**Stage Technicians: audio operators, master electricians, followspot operators, stagehands, stage managers, pyro technicians, riggers and dressers with sewing experience are needed.
