America Reads co-coordinator position

The America Reads Program is hiring a new co-coordinator!

“Elon University America Reads Tutoring Program is committed to improving the literacy and mathematical skills of youth in Alamance County by cultivating within young students a love for learning and by providing local schools with trained tutors to support their education efforts.”

America Reads Co-Coordinators are hired student leaders in Elon’s Kernodle Center for Service Learning. They are essentially the liaisons between Elon University and the community partners.They are in charge of hiring, training, and scheduling tutors. This includes monthly training sessions, which are based on a curriculum designed to best suit the needs of this community.

This position requires a time commitment of 8-12 hours per week. Starting pay is $7.55/hr.
