Professors Carol Smith and Richard Mihans recently published an article in the May 2009 edition of Research in Education, entitled, ” Raising Issues of Student Locus of Control: Beginning a Longitudinal Study”. This beginning longitudinal study examined education students’ perceptions of their control in meeting their future degree goals and plans to track the retention rates of these majors as they progress through their programs of study at Elon University.
