Phonathon student workers needed

Elon University Phonathon is looking to hire 10-15 students for the fall semester calling period (September – November).

Objective:

To raise annual gifts for Elon through telephone solicitation with the university’s constituent base (alumni, parents and friends). Callers also provide updates to constituents about the university and update their biographical/contact information. Responsibilities:

-To understand and support the purpose and mission of the Elon Fund.

-To establish contact via telephone with Elon University alumni, parents and friends in an enthusiastic, energetic and positive manner.

-To solicit gifts in support of the Elon Fund, Parents & Grandparents Fund and the Phoenix Club.

-To provide current and newsworthy information to constituents concerning Elon University.

-To collect and clearly update biographical and contact information from each constituent to include address, phone, spouse’s name, employer, job title and corporate matching gift policy.

-To answer questions from the constituent to the best of the caller’s ability, referring to information provided on the CampusCall computer screen, or, if necessary referring the call to the phonathon student supervisor or phonathon director.

-To encourage donors to complete the matching gift process, if applicable.

-To work at least 2 calling sessions per week during the operation of the Phonathon.

-To attend and participate in caller training.

Calling takes place Monday-Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. each night. There is also calling on some Sundays.
