Jean Rohr publishes article on family involvement in Educational Studies

Jean Rohr, an assistant professor of education, published “Preservice teachers and parents: using a reading course to change perceptions and practice” in the research the British journal Educational Studies.

The study calls for an examination of how Schools of Education might re-vision their education programs in ways that include parents as vital partners in the education process. This fall, Rohr will continue the parental involvement component of the course with the inclusion of two additional stake holders – the ABSS school district personnel and the May Memorial Library in Burlington, N.C.
