Hal Walker received the Sports Management Educator of the Year Award on Friday, Nov. 13. at The North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance’s (NCAAHPERD) 62nd Annual Convention in Winston-Salem.
Walker has served as a faculty member for 25 years and has practical experience in a variety of higher education capacities, including director of athletics, coach, consultant and administrator. While serving at Elon University he has guided undergraduate research, mentored the LSM Society (student organization), provided numerous experiential learning opportunities for students and has generated over $25,000 for non-profit organizations through student-run fundraising events.
Walker presents frequently at a variety of regional, national and international conferences, along with active engagement in research and writing. He also serves on various editorial, review and advisory boards related to the LSM industry.
