MBA students and alums form Consulting Group

The MBA Program is forming an MBA Student & Alumni Consulting Group that will focus on not-for-profit organizations. The goal of this group is to provide a wide range of business consulting services to not-for-profits from the home communities of MBA students and alumni from the Triad to the Triangle.

The range of services that the Consulting Group aims to make available to area organizations should be as varied as the MBA training and professional interests of the students and alumni who participate. The Consulting Group, once developed, will be an ongoing feature of the MBA program, with active participation of current students and Elon MBA alums.

Over eighty students and alumni responded to the initial email expressing interest in this project, followed by two initial planning meetings. A steering committee has been formed to develop a business plan that will guide the effort; members are Jennifer Sider, Florence Bell, Paul Marshall, Kate Panzer, Heather Scheel, Dave Clark, LaToya Marcus, and Eduardo Figueroa. Participants hope to launch the Consulting Group at the start of the MBA spring semester in March.
