"Spaceman," a short film by School of Communications instructor Nicole Triche, will be screened twice as a part of the Indie Grits Film Festival in Columbia, S.C.
“Spaceman” is an experimental short that merges new footage with archival NASA film to form a relationship between the first chimp in space and a would-be space traveler. The film will be shown in a block of short films at 6:15 p.m. on April 15 at the Fox Theatre and at 2 p.m. on April 17 at the Nickelodeon Theatre.
“Indie Grits is an up-and-coming festival with a lot of energy and I’m excited to be a part of it,” Triche said. “I’m looking forward to seeing some great films and meeting other filmmakers at the fest.”
