Broadcast Education Association Honors Tom Nelson’s ‘Prisoners of Plenty’

Tom Nelson, Associate Professor, School of Communications, has been given an Award of Excellence for his documentary "Prisoners of Plenty."

The award was presented by the Broadcast Education Association to Nelson at the annual BEA convention in Las Vegas on February 15, 2010.  BEA cites its Award of Excellence as the equivalent of publication in a competitive peer-reviewed journal. “Prisoners of Plenty” focuses on a POW camp in Concordia, Kansas where captured German military were imprisoned  during World War Two.
