“To be able to help the kids at Duke Children’s Hospital and participate in a campus-wide philanthropic event is a privilege that not many people receive,” said senior Michael Duff, the ELONTHON executive director. “The ELONTHON Executive Committee puts countless hours into making the event a success, and we could not be happier with the funds raised this year.”

ELONTHON Executive Committee members danced at College Coffee on May 11 following their announcement that they raised more than $100,000 for Duke Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network.

Held April 15-16, 2010, ELONTHON featured hours of dancing, music, games and activities to benefit the hospital. Throughout the event, participants also heard from patients and their families who have been treated at Duke.

The ELONTHON 2010 Executive Committee would like to thank all the students who danced and served on committees and all the faculty and staff who donated time, money, and support to help make the event successful.
