Student Phonathon Caller position

As a Phonathon Caller, responsibilities will include calling alumni, parents and grandparents to solicit them for donations as well as to update their contact information. Other aspects include keeping them up to date on happenings around campus and alumni events in their area.

Requirements include the art of conversation, being comfortable on the phone, the ability to ask for money, enjoying a fun work environment, a strong drive to succeed, the ability to consistently arrive on time, belief in Elon’s impact and a willingness to continually learn and build upon your skills. Strong preferences for the position include a commitment to philanthropy, a competitive nature and being outgoing.

You have the opportunity to work anywhere from 6.5 to 13 hours a week with some weeks allowing for 16.5 hours. While it is the highest paying job on campus, there are high expectations that come along with it. It is also the most competitive.

Phonathon will run mid September through mid November during the fall semester and then mid February through April during the spring semester. We will run during Winter Term but only if you wanted to work that month. The hours are Monday through Thursday 5:45 to 9:00 with some Sunday calling. Yes, that is right, NO Fridays or Saturdays! Everyone has to work at least 2 nights a week (6.5 Hours). While it remains flexible, at the beginning of each semester you will request set nights that you would like to work. Bonuses will be given if you consecutively work 3 or more nights a week.

Pay is $7.65/hr with opportunities for bonuses and as well as a large number of prizes. Being on campus, it is not only high paying but extremely convenient whether you have a car or not!

Thanks for the interest and again, do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions about the application, job or even if you have any questions about Elon in general.
