Pope-Ruark publishes article in IJSoTL

Rebecca Pope-Ruark, assistant professor of English, published an article entitled "Know Thy Audience: Helping Students Engage a Threshold Concept Using Audience-Based Pedagogy" in the 5th anniversary issue of the International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

The article explores how an intensive semester-long client project in a Professional Writing and Rhetoric course encouraged students to deeply engage the rhetorical concept of audience and the realities of working with multiple audiences. The article is a product of Pope-Ruark’s participation in the Elon Teaching and Learning Partnership (ETLP) and the 5th annual Faculty Writing Residency.
