Student Perspectives on Social Media in Teaching and Learning 12:15-1:15 pm, Belk Pavilion 208

Students seem to live on and with social media like Facebook and Twitter. How do they use these tools to support and deepen their learning? What potential do they see for faculty to integrate social media into Elon courses to promote more learning and engagement? An Interactive Media graduate student, Meghan Gargan, proposed this session, and she will be joined during the conversation by undergraduate students including Joshua McGee (Political Science/International Studies ’13) and Kassondra Cloos (Communications ’13). If you are interested in student perspectives on learning and social media, please RSVP to Barbara Guy (bguy@elon.edu or x5106) by this Wednesday to reserve a lunch. And if you know a student who really should be there, please invite her or him to RSVP, too.

This session is co-sponsored by Teaching & Learning Technologies and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
