Elon Phoenix athletics has launched a new campaign to encourage all community members to Live the Maroon Life.
Live the Maroon Life builds on the pride and support that the Elon community displays for all 16 of its athletic teams. Throughout the year, Phoenix athletics will explain how student-athletes Live the Maroon Life in the athletic department, on the playing fields and in the classroom. And the Phoenix will be asking all members of the Elon community to share their experiences and spread Elon pride.
“Living the Maroon Life is something that involves everyone,” explains Elon Director of Athletics Dave Blank. “It is really simple: be involved, wear maroon, join the Phoenix Club, come to our games and get to know our student-athletes. Support these student-athletes and help give them the best possible experience while competing for championships at the highest level.”
Blank says Elon student-athletes, coaches and staff are dedicated to giving 100 percent effort every day. He and the athletics staff are asking fans to give that same effort in supporting Elon University and building a network of Elon supporters across this country to promote Phoenix athletics.
“Our main goal will never change — provide our student-athletes with the best possible academic and athletic experiences and help them grow into young men and women who will make an impact on our world,” Blank says. “We want them to graduate from Elon and continue living the maroon life long after they leave this campus.”
